Hypertension is predominantly observed in patients who suffer from a very high blood pressure condition. Many of us have heard about the importance of maintaining a normal blood pressure from various sources, but what makes it so important to monitor the blood pressure.

The blood pressure of a human being is defined as the pressure of the blood on the walls of the arteries when the blood is pumped from the heart. Blood pressure can be of two types systolic and diastolic, systolic pressure means the pressure of the blood when the heart is fully exerted. On the other hand diastolic pressure refers to the pressure of the blood when the heart is in a relaxed condition.

When we talk about high blood pressure, we usually refer to a blood pressure condition which has progressed to such a stage that certain other conditions have arisen as a result of the hypertension.

Often it is seen that the patient is suffering from high blood pressure but shows no visible signs of the condition that is the reason why this ailment is referreed to as the silent killer.
It is very difficult to pin point a single cause that may increase the blood pressure of the patient to such a huge extent. There are various causes that may give rise to high blood pressure, these include the following reasons:
•    Narrowing of the arteries

•    Congestion of the arteries
There are certain lifestyle habits that can cause hypertension like,

There are certain symptoms of hypertension that can indicate that the patient is actually suffering from hypertension. Under certain conditions the patient suffers from certain direct conditions which point directly to the hypertension. These symptoms include;
